Lowestoft Service Advisor Raises £100's for Macmillan Cancer SupportWednesday,31 Aug 2016
A phenomenal effort Lings Lowestoft Service Advisor Megan Sait has raised hundreds of pounds for charity over the bank holiday weekend.
Megan, friend Claire Jermy and horses Dolly and Tee took to Newmarket Race course to ride 20 miles over 3 hours, raising a fantastic £517 for Macmillan Cancer Support in the process.
"Macmillan is a charity close to my heart." said Megan "so it was amazing to be out on the famous Newmarket course alongside 100's of people and their horses for such a good cause. Dolly absolutely loved it too; particularly the gallop - she got to pretend she was a racehorse, if only for as little while!"
While the horses were enjoying the long ride out, the riders had a rather more difficult time of it. "3 hours in the saddle is a long time! We were definitely feeling it the next day but I think the horses could've done it all over again!"
Megan and Claire also had words of thanks for their sponsors. "We're so grateful for the generous donations and would like to say a big thank you to everybody who supported us, we can't say it enough, as well as a big thank you to Dan at Lings Mitsubishi for providing us with transportation."
Megan, Claire and the horses travelled to Newmarket in a Mitsubishi L200 Series 5 courtesy of Lings Mitsubishi in Lowestoft. Named Auto Express Pick-Up of the year, the Series 5 is celebrated as the best Pick-Up Mitsubishi has ever released.
